2 Billion On that!!!!!! In England there is a house worth 1.75 billion and though it is a eye soure, at least you can see your moneys worth!!!!! I don't know about in the US but in Britain we have to apply for bulding permission from our goverment, our land and we still have to ask nicley, I wounder how long it would take him to apply for that!!!!! I applyed for a conservotry and it took me 2 years!!!!!!

Secondly ,Barbara, I wounder how the people who live in the area feel about this? Are they happy or disgusted? I would really like to find out.

Finaly it really does remind me of two unamable eyes saws that their building on ground zero. I mean those new buildings they want to build there are just ugly and wont fit into that priceless new york skyline, like this building wont!!!!

Barbara:

Interesting residence.  If as Abhay, #74 says, the residence employee 600 than it is probably a good thing.  It is admirable that India has taken no money from other for disasters, etc.  The Indian's I know are all very well educated, smart and very friendly.

It might just be the picture, but it looks kind of unstable to me.

Crazy is the only word that comes to mind.

I guess every culture has its example of outlandish luxury.

We are used to the castles of Europe, or the mansions in America.

This is just outside the boundary of our imagination.

I bluntly answered: "more bricks"

Hey true it is all material, but indians have a vast magnitude of wealth now, which has come from their sheer business acumen, like middle east had oil, africa minerals, indians have education and business skills and adaptability .Lot of Indians have wealth where after investing for future they do feel like indulging a bit, as did americas and europe all these years, Indians are doing it now.Besides no credit crunch in India...banks here won't lend you more than your total worth ever!!

Besides the guy who owns the house has cars worth $ 7 Billion USD which are parked on first 10 storeys of the building (it is a parking lot mate!),well besides which he now owns largest petrochemical company by production in world..., all his business are worth over $30 Billion USD..what would he with that kinda money...i would spend a bit..wouldnt you??

Cheers

Hi Barbara, a great view from the top floor I imagine. The only problem I see

is ALL the company you would have if you owned it. We all know the saying after 3 days,

it's time to leave.
