  Elkhart County Yearly Market Report - 2015 vs 2016

Elkhart County, is located in extreme north central Indiana. The 2016 statistics for Elkhart County, shows an active market with 2074 residential homes sold.  During the same period in 2015 a lesser amount of 2005 homes were sold. The average Days on Market for the period was 67, which is less than the 2015 amount of  76 DOM.

 

The average Listng Price for 2016 increased by 5.7% over 2015.

The average Selling Price for 2016 increased by 8.8% over 2015.

The average Days on Market for 2016 decreased by 11.8% from 2015

The market in Elkhart County, with the inventory declining, buyers are still looking for homes to fit their needs. Now is the time to sell a home in this area, as offers have been near the asking price.

Larry except for the decline in inventory all the figures went in the right direction over 2015.  Hope the housing market in Elkhart County shows similar or better improvements in 2017.
