Today I am adding part 2 of 2 of the wonderful photos I took in Charlottesville.

See this link for part 1 of 2: Charlottesville Christ Episcopal Church - (1 of 2)

This first photo is hard to see the detail as it was truely amazing:

In fact, I had to crop the photo because the color level made the photo to dense to post.

This second Stained Glass is one of the side windows in the Church. These are all incredible!

And finally, this third stained glass is one of the windows in the entrance area of the church. Look closely at the details, I was speechless!

I hope you enjoyed this peek into one of Charlottesvilles fine Churches!

Charles:  The colors are simply beautiful in the photos so I can only imagine what it must be like in person.  I have a hobby of photographing small country churches throughout North Georgia and some other places of travel.  I think I'll have to add some of the larger churches like this one when the architecture is so stunning.

Those pictures are gorgeous! We have a lovely church in Sewanee TN that has some of the oldest and most beautiful stained glass I have seen. Charlottsville looks like a great place to live!

Thanks, Charles. I often tour churches when I travel, and if I'm ever in Charlottesville, I'll check out the Christ Episcopal. The history, the art work, the architecture, I love it all.

Charles,

There's something so 'Christian' about stained glass windows...they were created to explain the Gospel to the majority who could not read...the illiterate...not as an elaborate show of wealth!!! And explain in vivid detail they did...what magnificent 'Good News' they proclaim! Thanks,   Fran

Lovely photos of the stained glass windows, Charles!  I took the same kind of photographs for a post on Saint Agnes Catholic Church in my Minnesota blog.
