I was impressed earlier this week by an ActiveRain article by Pamela Cendejas that encouraged those using social media to engage with their followers. I have seen a lot of social media advice (some of it counter-productive) freely given around the Web lately. Much of it has been centered around Facebook. While it is great to ask questions when we do not understand something or want more clarity on a topic, we need to do our due diligence and research all advice given before we implement anything. Always "trust but verify" information you receive, regardless of the source or their online reputation. It is easy to accidently get led astray and cause yourself more problems.
