Beyond Bollywood: A Taste of India

The Scoop: Join the City of Raleigh Museum for a night of Indian-American fusion delights. You'll enjoy a variety of bites while local chefs share the inspiration behind them. The City of Raleigh Museum is presenting a unique evening exploring the fusion of Indian-American cooking through dishes that are traditionally prepared to celebrate the Indian holidays of Pongal and Lohri. Chef Cheetie Kumar of Garland, Chef Vimala Rajendran of Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe, and James Beard award nominee Chef Meherwan Irani will explore the impact of American culture on their traditional Indian recipes. Enjoy a dish from each chef and listen as they discuss inspiration for their recipes.

Oak City Chamber Players present Classical Hang at Rebus Works

The Scoop: Food Trucks + Beer + String Quartet = Awesomeness!

Join Chirba Chirba Dumpling, Chef Brian Battistella, Fullsteam Breweryand the Oak City Chamber Players for an evening of classical music in a causal setting inside Rebus Works. This is an event to make classical music more fun and accessible to everyone. Food trucks will be ready to serve at 6pm with plenty of tables and chairs. There will be craft beer from FullSteam Brewery, hot chocolate and NC apple cider avaible inside Rebus Works.  Music begins at 7:30 as the Oak City Chamber Players, comprised of Dovid Friedlander, Erin Zangut, Sam Gold and Nathaniel Yaffe will play Felix Mendelssohn's f minor string quartet. All of the players are members of the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra. The Players will all there to hang before and after the concert with everyone in the audience.
