Not So Wordless Wednesday: Red Sky In The Morning In Santa Barbara!

Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants

The old adage, "Red Sky In The Morning,, Sailor Take Warning" means that rain is expected and sailors should stay home.   "Red Sky At Night, Sailor's delight "means clear sailing the next day.  These two phrases has been used to forecast the weather for two millennia.

A half hour has passed since I took this picture, and dark clouds are already manifesting in what were blue skies earlier.  Our weather forecast calls for  rain later this afternoon and evening and well into tomorrow.   Let it Rain!

Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday!

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  Once you briefly state what you do and how you do it, you have a maximum of 30 seconds to convey what sets you apart from the crowd.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in under 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

We are also getting a lot of rain now. It's warmed up quite a bit and we see the snow and ice melting, albeit it a bit to quick for watersheds. Weather tends to be a big topic of conversation this winter - at least so far. ;) I'm so happy your parched area is getting the benefits of much-needed rain.

I swear that I say these phrases OFTEN around here, Alexandra! That's been touted in our family for generations, living on water for umpteen years. It proves to be true often, and yet the beauty of it is so breathtaking, that I sometimes forget how foreboding it can be.

We had a beautiful sunrise here, too but I didn't grab a photo. And it's gotten gray with some projections for rain in the next few days. We certainly can use it.

Good morning, Alexandra and Ron - the skies are still quite clear and blue as I write this comment.  Predictions call for multiple storms on the way later today that are expected to continue through the weekend.

I have never heard that one before.  Very cool.  Glad you guys are finally getting the much needed rain out your way.  I guess that means more snow for us in a couple of days.

The quote was the first thing I thought of when I saw your title. I am always amazed when I ask people, did you see the sunset or sunrise and they say no. The sky fills me with wonder.

Alexandra, I am familiar with the Sailors adage about red skies. I like the picture and hopefully you folks will get some needed rain assuming your area still needs the rain?

Robert Bob Gilbert Yes, we still need rain.  The ground has reached iits saturation point with all the previous rain storms, now we will have runoff for the reservoirs, lakes, creeks, etc  We are expecting a series of storms and they are predicting over 4 inches that will be significant for the water sheds.  A

Beth Atalay We are getting rain that will go to the water sheds as the ground has reached a saturation point, so whataever falls will start filling  lakes, reservoirs, creeks, etc.  One of the creeks in the Los Padres National Forest is running as are the falls, so we have good signs.

I will put the word out the rain gods and goddesses to send some your way.  A
