GA400 & I285 Interchange Project = Pain for Commuters

Located at the nexus of two vital freeways and a MARTA rail line, the I-285/SR 400 interchange serves one of the region’s largest employment areas at Perimeter Center and is a major connection for the freight distribution of goods throughout Georgia. Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) I-285/SR 400 Interchange Improvement project will provide enhancements to these roadways that improve safety and facilitate better traffic flow to accommodate the high volume of travelers passing through it each day. Construction begins in early 2017 and will be completed in 2020.

This enormous construction project will tie up commuters in the North Atlanta GA 400 Business Corridor for years.  Anticipated travel times have not yet been calculated or posted as work is to begin next month, February 2017.  I have received numerous calls from past clients asking how much it will cost to move closer to the large business centers of The Perimeter,  North Buckhead, Midtown, and DT Atlanta.... I see a steady migration of commuters into Sandy Springs, GA where single-family and townhome prices are still relatively affordable.

I will continue with updates as this construction project gets underway.
