They say you should read the rules of all competitions before entering. I thought I had just about completed my challenge for 2017 6th Annual Blog Jumpstart Challenge when I noticed only one post per day counted towards the challenge.
Looking down my list, I realized I had three posts on the same day, and I had been so happy that day with my work. If only I had scheduled those on different days. Anyway, it allowed me to make another phone call and use that for another post.
Who else would I call. I called Patricia Feager because she leaves the most amazing, inspirational, encouraging comments on my posts. So, I thought I have to talk with this person and I was not disappointed. She is bubbly, very positive and hearing a little of how she got into the business she can definitely make lemonade out of lemonsand is happy singing in the rain.
Entering the business in 2003, she is what some would call seasoned. Real estate called when her company laid her off and everyone in her department; and then moved it to Singapore. Having just got her MBA, thinking she might be getting a promotion instead having transferred to Texas and being a widow she had to pay the bills, so thought why not and got her real estate license as well.
We discussed our kids and how Patricia has raised her daughter and son to be independant, they are both a long way away and Patricia is thinking about that forever place, because sorry Texas she knows you are not it. Lakes and mountains call, which I can totally relate to, it seems the best of both worlds, the solidity of the moutains, and the waterfront opportunity without rising sea levels.
Talking with Patricia I realized she has a fascinating background, but she lives in the present, and she approaches life and her business with joy and an attitude of a life long learner. Every life event and transaction gives us the opportunity to learn something new. We carry that knowledge forward and use it as we help other clients.
I think it would be a delight to work with Patricia, and if I was moving to her area in Flower Mound in Texas I would definitely give her a call. But, as a Philadephia Eagles fan I know that will never happen. So we will just have to arrange a meet up somewhere else sometime.
Thanks Patricia, it was a delight to talk with you, you brightened my day.
