Saturday Smiles: Santa Barbara Farmers Market!

We have blue skies with wispy clouds this morning.  It is cold by our standards, 46 degrees as I am writing this post.    We are expecting a high of 62 degrees.  Eden garden's lettuce arrangement is very creative and looks like a horseshoe.

Kale of many colors continues to tempt the eye and stomachs of many.  We love the colors.

Savoy cabbage looks gorgeous with the orange of the carrots.  Its crinkly appearance is lovely.  The cabbage tastes creamy and sweet tasting.  Some chefs wrap fish with a savoy leaf and steam it, or use it for stuffed cabbage leaves.

Wishing everyone lots of Saturday Smiles.  Enjoy the weekend.

Lovely photos, thanks for sharing! And I can't believe it is warmer here in North Carolina - I'm sure it won't last long, though!

Michael Jacobs when we came back from taking care of several things around town, the clouds started to come in from the mountainside and the ocean side...we still have a good chunk of blue left so far.  The channel behind Quincy park is moving at a rapid speed towards the ocean from the runoff.  I am hoping that the reservoirs will fill up with all the rain soon.  A

Hannah Williams Thank you for your nice words and support.  It is strange to think your temps are warmer, and clouds are coming in from the ocean and the mountains as I comment back to you.  The winds are blowing and keeping some blue and some sun.  We are supposed to have rains on Sunday and Monday!  Happy to have the reservoirs filling up. Enjoy your weekend  A

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington we had a respite today and yesterday afternoon!  However, the clouds have gathered here and the rains are coming around Midnight and continuing for the next 3 days.  The news always exaggerates!  When we lived in LA, they always showed the same creek in Malibu flooding, and the nursery by it would duh flood also?  The same footage year after year!  A

The vendors at you local Farmer's Market are always so creative in the presentation of their produce, Alexandra.  Love all those lettuces, all lined in rows.

When I see creativity at the produce stands, e.g., my local Farmer Markets, I'm always tempted to buy more. It's a good marketing strategy because I'm not the only one who gravitates and selects produce designed to sell, and it's funny, most customers, like myself, don't want to mess up the creative way they arrange the produce.

That is cold for your part of the country. The veggies looks so healthy and flavorful. The cabbage would be on my shopping list.

Hi,  Ron and Alexandra Seigel !  Yes, this post deserved to be awarded photo feature. The creativity and colors are absolutely amazing. Also important is your discerning eye.  Hope you guys had a wonderful day!  Me, not so good; still a bit moody and down after Sunday's Green Bay Packer loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 NFC Championship game.
