Friday was a historic day. I worked most of the day and was unable to watch the swearing in. I like to watch all the Presidents take office because it represents what is so special about our country. We have a choice, a democracy and a voice through our votes.
Today was a historic day in the United States. The 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, has been sworn into office.
Many people around the country and the world for that matter are optimistic and others are concerned. There are people who wonder what happened and there are others who wonder what will happen. In my lifetime, I cannot recall any other time when our nation was so divided. It is truly time to heal and unite as a country. Unity, not division, will benefit us all.
So, what will the ramifications be for real estate from this historic day? As a Beverly Hills Realtor, I consider it my job to provide guidance and education for all of my clients to best achieve their real estate goals, whether they are buying or selling properties in this market. The old saying that “Real Estate is local” remains just as current and true today as when it was first declared.
I have said this before: one of the biggest attractions for foreign investors to the United States including Beverly Hills is stability. No other country has the assurance that their money and their investment will be safe and protected. Foreign Captains of Industry, international wealth, love to park their money in the United States; specifically, in the greater Los Angeles area, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and vicinity are where the international investors like to invest in real estate.
Today a peaceful transition of power took place from one U.S. President to the other. Forget the side shows of protestors, forget the social media rants; those are from people who are missing out what makes this country so special. This is one of the reason international buyers from all over the Globe come here. This is the reason people from other countries immigrate here to start a new life.
