Purchasing a home is probably one of the largest investments most people make. As a buyer, it’s your responsibility to choose the right area in the right place that for you.

One of the choices you have as a buyer is to whether to live in an HOA community. Benefits are plenty depending on the community, some of them may be a gated community, 24hr guard protection, community pool, trash pick-up, lawn care are just to name a few.
There are some restrictions homeowners must adhere to, such as, no commercial vehicles in the driveway overnight, getting an approval prior to making changes to the exterior of your home are two common restrictions.

If you are a Clermont homebuyer looking for a home in a neighborhood without HOA fees, you have options. As of January 26, 2017, there are forty-three active listings with a price range of $135,000 to $1,750,000.
If you’re looking for a home priced under $250,000, it’s important to point out that most of them are older homes that were built before 1980 with under 2000 square feet.
Most homes with no HOA fees in Clermont that were built after 2000 with over 2500 square feet are priced over $500,000.

Before you decide against HOA neighborhoods, it’s best to find out about the ones you might be interested in and read their covenants. Most are available online, if not, your real estate agent will be able to obtain it for you. See some homes both in HOA communities and some without. There are definitely some advantages and disadvantages of living in an HOA community, the decision is yours.
Don’t read too much into what you see online, remember, every neighborhood is different. If necessary, speak with some homeowners and ask them how they feel about their community, the board, HOA fees.

You may not have any options but to live in a home without HOA fees. If that’s the case, keep an open mind and know that most of them in Clermont FL are going to be older homes, if you’re looking for a newer home with a square footage and some land, be prepared to pay higher.

HOA's can often get out of hand if members get on the board with an agenda, thus there has become a great disdain for HOA's from a lot of people, this is a great niche!

Most of the buyers in my area don't want a neighborhood with an HOA. They just don't want to be told what to do, and to pay that monthly or yearly fee. We don't have many communities with an HOA, either.
