When it comes to biking in the Grand Valley, Grand Junction truly has something for everyone! From trails for novices to trails for the hardest of hardcore riders.

With miles of bicycle trails, the Riverfront Trail and bicycles all around town, we all know Grand Junction is a "Bicycle Friendly Community".  Receiving the Bronze Award in 2015, is another bragging point for Grand Junction residents.

My preference is the Riverfront Trail which is the gem of the Grand Valley.  The paved trail runs from the Palisade wine country to the alfalfa and cattle farms in Loma.  Those who travel on it have a unique view of the Grand Valley.

You can ride the "Fruit and Wine Loop in Palisade", passing by the many orchards and wineries.  There are lots of places to stop for lunch, snacks or just enjoy the views.

The Parks and Wildlife section is one of my favorite for the birds, deer, wetlands and mostly the serenity.

Grand Junction Riverfront Trail

For mountain bikers, the Grand Valley is known for having some of the best mountain biking the country.  You can enjoy the great views and test your mental and physical strength.

There are many cycling magazines and guide books that list the hundreds of trails in the the area.  Lunch Loops is one of the most popular.  It's a technical system of trails that locals love, particularly Grand Junction residents who can walk out the front door, jump on their bikes and ride a few miles to the trail head.  It's called the Lunch Loops because locals can easily jump on for a quick lunchtime ride.

If you are into cycling, maybe you should move to Grand Junction?
