Frisco Transit Center gets a complete redesign

One of the best known local destinations in Frisco is getting a major facelift!

This popular local spot is located between Safeway and Whole Foods Market, at the heart of the town and was originally built in 1998. The major community hub and transportation center includes the county’s Summit Stage public transit system, shuttle service companies and a Hertz car rental location among many other shopping destinations.

Some of Frisco’s most beautiful communities are located near the area: properties such as the luxurious Frisco Town Subdivision, the Lagoon Homes with amazing lake Dillon views, the newly developed Drake Landing, and Cabin Creek Condos, only steps from downtown Frisco.

The county has received $2.5 million in grants from the Colorado Department of Transportation to help complete the project and it estimates that altogether the redesign of the Frisco Transit Center will cost around $8.3 million. The project objective is to improve overall circulation and enhance safety for buses, cars, bicycles and pedestrians throughout the beautiful town of Frisco. Additionally, the newly designed center will provide the community with an attractive and inviting destination for local and regional transit information and visitor guide of the popular tourist area.

The design process will likely finish around October of 2017, with construction beginning in the summer of next year and we can’t wait to see the final look of the new center.
