It's Super Bowl Sunday Are you Watching for the Commercials or the Game

It is the last weekend of the season for football, Super Sunday. For some it will be a great day, and for others not so much.  Some will be hoping for something special to eat while others will anxiously await the commercials.

SuperBowl 2017

It is the most watched sporting event in the world but for what purpose?

I am not a fan of commercials and have strained a finger or two with the flipping between commercials. I have also worn out several remotes doing this. But on this day, it will be interesting to see which ad company succeeds as the one to reach for next year's marketing campaign.

The past few years, it has been chips and suds that have gotten attention with those 30 second spots that cost millions.

Of course some will anxiously await the half time extravaganza if nothing other than to see if Lady Gaga uses the exposure to make another politic statement.

Oh, Yeah, there is the game, Go Pats!

Ed Silva ~ hi Ed... I'm not watching the game, or the commercials, or Lady Gaga. For me the commercials are always a lot of hoopla about not much. And with my two teams not playing, I have no horse in this race. Even when one of my teams is playing, I don't watch the commercials or half time show.

Good morning, Ed Silva the commercials will all have a political flavor....nauseating at best now...CNN provides enough of it....

the game should be exciting and nail biting.... and then there are the numbers....I win something every year (so they remind me as I'm placing my bet and picking my numbers!!) I'm in two this year.... and I picked first on one of them!!!

I don't watch football except usually the superbowl. I watch for the commercials and in hopes of winning in a pool. When the Pats are playing I watch in hopes of a win, of course!

I don't care who wins this year. No ties to either team.
If I paid a lot of money for a game ticket, I would not want a political message from players or at halftime.

Players should play, entertainers should entertain, advertisers should advertise, not give lectures.

Ed for me it is the game, and hopefully the Pat's will win.  I will be changing the channel during half time, so I need to check-out what is on at that time.
