In response to Liz and Bill Spear 's challenge as to What I Love About My Job of course the number one reason is my boss. My boss is kind, gentle, understanding , nearly omniscient (not to mention that he is omnipresent just for me).
Granted he could be a little younger and better looking but that's what keeps him so awesomely humble.
Not to mention that he has the same name as me... oh right... he is me, Bob Timm, Owner/Broker of National Marketing Realtors.
Next on my list as to why I love my occupation is that it is my privilege to help people find that very special place called home. Just the word "home" brings good thoughts to most people. Home is a place where most people feel safe. Home is a place where we remember people we love, it's a place we remember laughing and celebrating with our parents, our children, and if we are lucky enough with our grandchildren.
Helping people find home is the greatest joy of being a Realtor, especially when working with young couples purchasing their first home.
On the flip side of helping young people find their first home it can also be a joy to help retiring couples sell their homes so they can move on to that home they always dreamed of. Perhaps they have always been eager to move in town from the farm, out of State to be closer to the Grandchildren, maybe somewhere warmer or maybe even to Alaska to enjoy the scenery.
Weather you are a Real Estate Broker like myself, working for myself, or a Real Estate Agent you have to enjoy the freedom of the job. That being said I can tell you that I'm always the first one into the office every day and almost always the last person out every day. I work seven days a week and I usually work about 364 days a year BUT I work when I want to work, I go where I want to go, and I serve who I want to serve. I love being a Realtor!
