Stocks Slip Slightly as Falcons Swoon

S & P 500 futures slumped this morning as MBS bonds began the day with some moderate gains.  With no economic reports today, talk of a most unusual Super Bowl carried the day.  The New York Giants remain the only team to have ever beaten the Patriots and they did it twice.  Gold continued creeping steadily higher while oil remained in the $53 range per barrel.  All three major indices here posted small losses as the Dow closed down 19 points.
