Home Buyers : Internet Use vs. In Person

I often have buyers send me homes that look amazing to them.

I send them back a street view of the neighborhood and share: drive by first, then fall in love. Photography and Internet info sometimes doesn't hold up when actually in the home. Do you get any trackable value out of being an ABR?

All the resources Realtors® have are merely tools to aid us in the sale. Many times buyers and sellers base some or all of their info on websites that do not provide accurate information Robert Bob Gilbert

Bob, I had talked to prospective sellers today. They told that they had their home listed with a broker, and the agent never went over ANYTHING with them. I just had to shake my head.

Great point Bob. No matter how automated the world gets nothing will replace the human touch.

This is very  good advice to share with prospective home buyers.

Bob, I hear it a lot from buyers - love the home, and then when they actually see it, they also see what is around the home, and that does affect their decisions!

This is great advice to buyers, and sellers, too. I don't know how many buyers I've worked with that find a home on z or t only to find out it's not on the market. I've seen these sites even have the wrong picture for a home. 

Great advice. Nothing beats knowledge of the community and knowledge of the neighborhoods and subdivisions.
