"Seller Says"

What do you love about the area?: We love the cul-de-sac and neighborhood. It is very versatile in ages as well as families. We are very close to the High School and Middle School. Both Elementary schools are within biking distances as well. When moving in we had a small child and the friendly area was easy to allow for playing outside and bike riding in the cul-de-sac, not to mention a sledding and ice skating rink a block away for winter fun and three parks that surround us for summer fun. It is a central location to the freeway for a commute to work and easy ways to get to all grocery stores, Wal-Mart, malls and restaurants.

What are some great things about Forest Lake?: Forest Lake has all the amenities of a large town with a hometown feel. Forest Lake is very community orientated. They have community orientated events and get togethers. Great walking paths, beaches and lakes.

What restaurants are nearby?: When meeting friends and grabbing a quick bite to eat we love going to Friar Tucks. For date nights, Stella's has great food. In the summer months for date night Aqua has a great view and great food.

What grocery stores or nearby shopping if there?: Forest Lake has many different grocery stores that are accommodating and has different pricing and options. Wal-mart for many of the items. Aldi's for fruit and vegetables. Cub for meat products and more specific products. All offer healthy and organic options without having huge pricing.

Information about the schools in our area: The unique item about the Forest Lake School District is that they have separated the schools to be able to have smaller classes as well as be able to accommodate each age group. Having an elementary school from K-2, secondary elementary from 3-6, Junior High from 7-9 and High School from 10-12 allows each school to be able to directly relate to that age at each school. Currently they are remodeling the high school in order to be able to accommodate more classes to offer towards College and allowing students to be able to make a decision towards their future.

What do you do for interests and hobbies near the property?: There is a very long biking, walking, and rollerblading trail that runs from Hugo to North Branch that has recently been paved and bridges to run over the busy roads in Forest Lake. The parks and beaches for younger kids. Close to a movie theater and many restaurants and not to mention having many lakes for fishing, snowmobiling and soaking up the sun. There are many different get together's in the Forest Lake area with neighbors and the community as well as one of the biggest celebrations during the 4th of July

Tells us about any additional property highlights, upgrades, recent updates that have been done: Recent upgrades to our property is new appliances- washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove top range, fridge, and furnace. Replaced blinds and two windows. We had spent time remodeling the kitchen area by redoing cabinets and cabinet hardware completely, as well as majority of the trim and walls in the house. Knockdown on all but two bedrooms, recessed lighting, custom track lighting, pendant lighting installed, all light fixtures, outlets and ceiling fans have all been replaced as well. New garage door motor. Key-less entry and the Nest Thermostat.

Key points about the house that we were drawn to when we first looked at the home: What drew us to this house was the cul-de-sac, a larger yard but still small enough, all bedrooms and main living areas on one floor. It was close to a main road, but off a road with very little traffic. The neighborhood was kid friendly. Forest Lake was close enough to larger cities making an easy commute to work.
