Update on some Tycoons.....

Chandler AZ Real Estate

I got my 'start' in this business as a Real Estate Investor.  When I moved out of my first home I decided to keep it is an investment property.  As is discussed in my profile, I then went on to buy and sell numerous SFRs, Duplexes and Fourplexes prior to becoming a REALTOR®.  I feel that having experienced real estate transactions from multiple perspectives, ie as an agent, primary residence purchaser and investor I have gained valuable insights into the business.  But alas, my insights are not what I'm blogging about here.

I'm blogging about some famous (or at least recently turned famous) Real Estate Investors.  These folks have been profiled and their progress (or lack thereof) tracked and chronicled.  What I really enjoy about articles such as this are the direct human factor.  They aren't necessarily talking about the next multi-million dollar Trump creation.  They aren't talking about what is being done by big national builders.  They are talking about what regular people, much like you and I, have accomplished and had to deal with as Real Estate Investors.

First, let me address some of the highs.  As we all know, some ridiculously high percentage of American millionaires owe their fortune(s) to real estate.  Well, this article highlights one family who has made ~ $600,000 investing in real estate the past few years.  Another has done so well and made so much money - he's now an author having already published one book and working on a second!  Another looks to have a future career in development as he is 'putting in the works' (or so it would sound) on a piece of land he purchased.  Unfortunately, owning investment property is not always a day at the beach.  There are hassles to deal with.  Ex-boyfriends showing up with shotguns.  Extended vacancies.  Issues with security deposits.

I have previously blogged about some basic investment property financial terms, general guide to being a real estate investor, a gentleman who made a bunch of money during the BOOM, and another way to look at returns on an investment property.  All taken together along with the stories of these tycoons point to.....

....the potential rewards available to a SUCCESSFUL Real Estate Investor are potentially mind boggling (ie money and fame).  But you have to do thinks correctly (there are various routes to success).  You have to be able to handle the adversity that some of the tycoons had to deal with on your path to fame and fortune!

Thanks for Reading :)

Kaushik, many people out there think that Real Estate is easy money, until they get into it and find out that along with the money there is a lot of hard work.
