Long missing from the western suburbs of Broward County, Fl. have been facilitites to care for our older residents and family members. Now helping to fill that void is The Sheridan at Cooper City Assisted Living & Memory Care facility in Cooper City, FL. Located at 2580 Pine Island Rd., the Sheridan welcomed its first residents during the fourth quarter of 2016 and is already nearly 100% occupied.
The Cooper City project is a three story facility with lobby and 120 beautifully appointed apartments for residents. Studio, one-bedroom and two bedroom apartments ranging from 469 square feet (studio) to 954 square feet (two bedroom) are offered. Monthly leases for assisted living apartments (single occupancy) range in price from $3,700 to $5,050; for memory care, monthly leases range from $4,900 to $6,000, single occupancy. A monthly "second person fee" of $950 and $1,800 is charged for assisted living and memory care apartments, respectively, if two people live in the apartment. A one-time community fee of $3,000 is charged to all residents upon occupancy; at that time, a 
licensed nurse assesses each resident to create a Personalized Service Plan so that proper services and care are determined.
Residents enjoy services such as a common dining hall offering 3 meals a day with daily specials & a regular menu, gym with chairs, internet cafe, creative arts studio, a meeting room, and spacious outdoor patio with an herb garden facing a tranquil lake. In the Assisted Living wing, the apartments have kitchens with granite countertops & stainless steel refrigerators; oversized door openings, bathrooms and showers to accomodate wheelchairs, and ready access to a 24/7 Skynet monitoring system so residents can call for help as needed. There is weekly laundry and linen services available, and more independent residents can take advantage of daily trips in The Sheridan's van to the nearest Publix Supermarket.
The Sheridan is conveniently located near Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Memorial Hospital West, supermarkets, I-75, Flamingo Road and the Florida Turnpike, and 20-30 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
