Serendipity Sundays - Signs of Spring?

Serendipity Sundays-Is it winter or is it spring

It is February 12th and mild temperatures prevail. There have been so many warmer days in the last couple of weeks that the flowers and trees are getting signals that spring is here. These flowers are blooming not far from Stones Manor, a new home neighborhood in the Rossview area. It has a country atmosphere and the early daffodils help confirm that.

Is it winter or is it spring? I don't think we will be having 6 more weeks of winter like Phil said. In Clarksville, I am on the lookout for other blooming things like the forsythia, the willow trees and early flowering trees. Maybe winter isn't going to be here must longer.

We are excited about an early spring here as well!  I absolutely love spring, summer, and fall. Winter is just thrown in to make me more appreciative of the rest of the seasons! ;)

Hi Debbie, I was thinking the exact same thing today. It was in the 50's and sunny. My bro lives in NYC and during the week I spoke with him and he said they had a foot of snow. Go figure.

I focus on Spring all winter long! Lol! We don't have flowers at this point but we have been blessed to have had a fairly mild winter...until this weekend. Last Thursday it was 57 degrees here...that's "no coat" weather in Massachusetts! But, Friday was a snow day and we have continued to have snow today with expectations of more tomorrow. Over 14" so far. But, every day the sky stays lighter a little bit longer! Spring's coming!

Hi Debbie - We haven't had much snow this winter, and it has been unseasonably warm the last week or so, but there's no sign of anything poking up out of the ground - and the smart plants will keep it that way for at least another month or more.

Hi Dick Greenberg, If you keep having that mild weather you will be seeing some green tops pushing through the soil.

Mixed feelings as I see your beautiful spring flowers, I am not quite ready to give up winter, fortunately we still have several feet of snow in my front yard, but the ice is melting on my driveway.
