140 Thousand Forest Acres on the Edge of the Twin Cities, St Croix County Wisconsin
Just across the St Croix river from the largest city in this part of the country we find some very nice Forestland and Wildlife.
This lovely county is a hot-spot for people from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St Paul) with a short drive from the big city to a rural forest paradise where many commuters call home.

St Croix County is home to nearly 140 thousand acres of forest land.
Most of this forest land is High Quality Red Oak comprising over 60 thousand acres. Secondary forestland types include Northern Hardwoods (Maple, Ash, Basswood) with 16 thousand acres, Central Hardwoods with 17 thousand acres. And Aspen forests come with another 16 thousand acres.
The Forests of this county are high quality, though many of them are becoming developed for housing lots.
