Home Staging 101 With Photos
For those Realtors and sellers that are still on the fence about staging, here's some photos to see and then think what your property ca=ouls look like if professionally staged:
Staging is different than the way we live. Most of us have taste specific décor and more furnishings than what you’d find in a staged home. I’m not saying the rooms should be sparse, but less is more when it comes to staging, putting the emphasis on the home's square footage.
The goal of staging is to showcase the home and its architectural details. That’s why we use a neutral pallet. We want the home and its architectural features to take center stage (pun intended).
Vacant homes will never capture the attention of buyers as much as a well staged home whether in person or online for several reasons: Buyers spend 35% more time in a staged home, it takes the guesswork out of furniture arrangement and lastly, vacant rooms look smaller.
Staging creates emotional connections with buyers, helping them visualize themselves living in the home. Kitchens shouldn't overlooked. The old school of thought was to remove almost everything from the counter tops. Wrong. While you don't want clutter, you do want buyers to feel a sense of "home".
Vacant staging demonstrates the best furniture layout for an awkward space. This living room has a walkway leading directly into the family room. We created an elegant design that is also functional, leaving plenty of room to pass thru...
This living room has an awkward back wall that looks like it's missing a fireplace. By using a large piece of art and two sofa tables, we solved the problem...
Staging should always target the neighborhood's buyer demographic, but also take into account the style of the house. This home lent itself to a mid-century modern aesthetic. Instead of fighting with it NJ's Elite Staging kept a neutral pallet that worked with the home.
