Along with music and fitness one of my other passions in life is sports. I LOVE SPORTS! The three majors, baseball, football, and basketball are my favorites, with tennis in there as well.
A friend of mine posted on Facebook that after the last second ticks off the clock at the Super Bowl baseball season begins. I agree wholeheartedly.
Over the last several years more teams have moved their spring training facilities to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Even the intra-state teams that used to train in Tuscon (the Diamondbacks, Rockies, and White Sox) have moved to Scottsdale (Diamondbacks and Rockies) and Phoenix (White Sox). Now, half the Majon League Baseball teams, 15 in all, now call Arizona their spring home. In fact, 5 out of the last 7 World Series Champions (Giants, Royals, and Cubs) now train in Arizona, including both teams from last years World Series (Cubs and Indians).
Out on the west side of the Valley you can see 9 teams (Royals, Rangers, Mariners, Padres, Dodgers, White Sox, Reds, Indians, and Brewers) within about a 20 minute drive of each other. Meanwhile the east side of the Valley is home to the other 6 teams (Giants, Diamondbacks, Rockies, Cubs, A's, and Angels).
This time of year we usually see a mass influx of baseball fans from around the country flocking to see their teams. So to help you all out I've posted the website links for all of the teams here so you can easily buy tickets and plan your time down here more efficiently:
