300,000 Acres Wildlife and Forests, Florence County Wisconsin

   Florence County is a sometimes forgotten gem in the far Northeastern Northwoods of Wisconsin, You dont see the heavy tourism here but you do find superior beauty, ample wildlife, and great forestland.

It is a great place to raise timber and wildlife which is why you see the serious woodsmen buying hunting land and timber land here.

Florence County is home to nearly 300 thousand acres of forest land.

  Most of this forest land is Northern Hardwoods (Maple, Basswood, Ash) with nearly 140 thousand acres of these quality forests. 

Aspen and Birch are also an important forest type here with nearly 70 thousand acres which provide premium deer and grouse habitat as well as excellent timber.
