Catherdal of St John the Divine is located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue New York, NY 10025 in Manhattan's Morningside Heights neighborhood. The cathedral is claimed to be the largest cathedral and Anglican church and third largest Christian church in the world.

The historic district consists of approximately 115 buildings in an area stretching from West 109th Street to West 119th Street, Riverside drive to Amsterdam Avenue.

The Morningside Heights Historic District Committee has been fighting for the past 20 years to create this district.

Bill, Thanks it is quite impressive. It's massive and construction was never completed.

That's an impressive cathedral, Mitchell.  I'm noticing the critters.  Was the picture taken during the Blessing of the Animals?

I am not religious but I do find cathedrals always something to see. We had an NAR executive dinner in the National Cathedral in DC and that was an awesome experience.
