We went for a walk and a little shopping at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie IL on Saturday. This was a 60-degree day and very sunny. I really enjoyed myself. You never will get tired of coming to this place 
because they change it up often.
The management sets up different displays, fountains and there are art fairs and craft exhibits that people love to attend. I clocked in at 5 miles just bopping around the mall. Many people want to move to some of the many areas near Old Orchard just to have easy access to the facilities.
You can find Nordstrom’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Macys and every other major department store available as well as many one of a kind boutique shops. Tons of restaurants such as Roka Akor, Muggiano’s and some inexpensive burger joints that the kids love.
Old Orchard Mall in Skokie IL is an outside mall so you walk through one shop and out the back door and through the courtyard and then into another. I love to purchase my clothes at Nordstrom’s and now they even have an Ecco shoe store. I find them to be the best shoes made period.
In my Real Estate career I have had many a folk say they wanted to be near the mall so they could shop, eat and get exercise all in one shot. There is nothing wrong with that and the parking lot is so large that you never will have trouble finding a spot.
Old Orchard Mall has Golf road on the South side and Old Orchard street on the north and Skokie Blvd. on the East side. It is a winning combination and I have been coming there ever since I was 12 and my Mom made me go with her to the old Marshal Fields which is not Mays. Not one of my favorite stores.
I think you can tell Old Orchard Mall is on my list of fun places to hang out. It was built in 1956 and frowned upon. People did not know what the power of having so many stores in one spot meant.
