Why I Love Real Estate or How to Earn a Living and Have Fun Every Day!
Selling real estate isn’t a job… it’s an adventure. Some people go to work every day I go to fun every day. Some days are more fun than others of course…. But for the most part selling Real estate is a great way to earn a living and help shape a community and
Enjoy every minute of it.
I have sold something all my life. I started with Girl Scout cookies, sold placemats to get out of trouble in high school (another story for another Day) and sold so many they wanted me to come to work for them…. I was only 16 so I didn’t make the age requirement. So I then went on to sell advertising for my high school newspaper, then college and on and on… I liked advertising. I sold a lot of it.
Real Estate is personal. It is selling people homes they will live in and raise families. Its helping people sell their homes when they need to move or downsize. We help people in trouble. We help people in Love. We help people who can’t help themselves.
We help people settle their accounts and find some peace after their mates die.
Real Estate is so very Personal.
Real Estate is rewarding. You help people find a home or a place for their business or even a school. When a little boy runs up to you in the grocery store and thanks you for his own room. First one Ever he says! He hugs me and says it’s the best room anyone ever had… then 15 years later he comes in and buys his first piece of land from you! That is rewarding! Especially the hug!
Real Estate is tangible. You can live on it. You can grow food on it. You can Kick it. You can bury your pets on it…You can build on it. You can build a home, a business or long term wealth on Real Estate. You really can build your Life on Real Estate.
Real Estate is Community. Driving thru town seeing the alternative school that used to be a home and I was able to help the school system obtain. The family clinic around the corner was also a home that needed repairs but fit the exact criteria and location they needed to have a much needed clinic. We looked for that special home and spot for a year and when it came up we were ready. In a small town, homes become clinics, churches become homes, furniture stores become churches. Being a part of it, helping to shape the community
by making a positive difference is so fulfilling.
Real Estate is Important. It really is the fabric of life. It touches everyone and everything one way or the other. To be part of it is gratifying and I am ever thankful I found this opportunity to enjoy Real Estate and give back every day to the people of this wonderful Alaska community. It’s so much more than just a job.
