Our Family is gratified by the wise ruling made by Judge Marina Garcia-Wood which vindicated our family and sent a strong message to the Mayor and City Officials of Plantation Florida that this meritless action should have never been filed.
There has never been any evidence to support the meritless claim that our holiday display has ever been a public safety hazard. Instead of supporting a holiday display that has brought smiles to hundreds of Plantation Families, the Mayor and City Officials decided to waste well over $400,000 Dollars of taxpayer dollars bringing this spiteful action against the Hyatt Family. This is an example of the “Culture of Intimidation” practiced by the Mayor and City Officials towards Plantation Residents.
Our Family stood up against the Politicians for all Plantation Residents. This Victory is for all Plantation Residents and a loss for the Plantation Politicians. I think it is time for the Mayor to re-examine its relationship with their High Price No Bid Attorney. The advice by of City of Plantation Attorney cost the City well over $400,000 Thousand of Tax Payer Dollars for nothing. Our Family favors spending those dollars on projects that enrich the Residents of Plantation instead of enriching City Lawyers.
