I am getting nothing for telling you this, except (hopefully) your respect. I just found out that if you sign up at Mortgage101 and insert the calculator code on your website, it shows up as good inbound links from a Google rankings standpoint.

I checked it out but seems it is geared strictly to realtors,  Do they try to solicit the mortgage from your customers in anyway with these free tools?

John,

Very good question. Yes! They do pull visitors away from your site, so you want to be careful where you put the link to the page. The inbound link value seems to be worth the few people that may happen to fall upon the page. Just don't make it the most important link on the page and it will be fine.

I would put it on my site if I were a mortgage person too. The link is hot.
