This is a combination of three different blog posts. First is a reference to a question that someone asked today, do you have a Sunday routine. The second is a continuation of my series, The Old Farts Health Challenge, and the third is about what I will do more posting about, outsourcing and artificial intelligence.
Let's start with a Sunday routine and the question of does this start your week or end it? For me it is neither, it is my free day that stands alone, and it is my most organized day. This is where the Apple watch kicks in. If you read my posts you know that I have a core value first based business and the money follows from there, but it is always important that you have metrics, because it tells you whether you have momentum or inertia. I start my Sunday like other days with hydration and I have a watch app that tracks that, and I start with 16 ounces of water before I go to my meditation. Form there I do yoga stretches and crunches with the goal of getting to 100 calories before I hit the 9:00 spin class. In between are the usual things of getting coffee, eating my homemade granola today with organic strawberry's, and then checking email becasue I have clients in both Israel and California who contact me either ahead of my time or behind it.
From there I head to 9:00 spin class where my goal is in the 45 minute class, which I come to early, to get to a 400 active fat burning calorie count and a 500 total calorie burn. Today I exceeded that so that I am close to my 540 daily active burn rate. I also want to get my heart rate past 130 bpm to accelerate oxygen and blood flow which combined with water gets my mind in tiptop shape. It also gets me to 32 ounces of water before lunch. I check my watch to make sure I am on track both with calories and heart rate. I also like to get my heart rate down below 70 bpm in meditation. The hydration is put into my digital assistant watch. Another feature of the watch I love is when I am at the computer too long it tells me it's time to stand and move around every hour. All of this gives my accountability but back to Sunday.
Mt wife and I go to lunch after she returns from yoga to a vegetarian spot where we love the portabello mushroom kabobs with a side Greek salad and of course more water. Today is special also because every other week we go to Massage Envy for a 2 hour massage. It is a national chain and we use it in Jupiter Florida and it is only 5 minutes from our home there. I also look forward to my daily 1 mile walk with Henri in the afternoon, so that in a long nutshell is our Sunday routine, my health challenge update, and what some may not realize is a digital and personal assistant, the Apple Watch.
My next few posts will be more about the fast pace of artificial intelligence and how other "personal assistants" like Siri and Alexa are a part of my time hacks for more productivity.
