Plantation Harbor a Boating Community in Plantation Florida
Plantation Harbor is a quiet boating community of approximately 308 single family homes located in Eastern Plantation FL immediately east of the turnpike between Peters Road and I-595.
Homes were built is varying stages from 1977 to 1990 with some newer construction homes built in the early 2000’s. Lot sizes vary from 11,000 SF to 16,000 SF. Most are 3 to 4 bedrooms with 2 to 3 bathrooms having square footage varying from 2,300 to 4,000. Most homes have either a 1 car or 2 car garages and enjoy excellent fishing right from their back yards from the C-12 Waterway Canal that connects to the Everglades and New River Canal. Because of the deep water canals and in many cases no fixed bridges this neighborhood is very popular with boaters.
There is no Home Owners Association. Neighborhood Amenities include Plantation Heritage Park is actually a Broward County Park that is 88 acres big with abundant tropical flowering trees and palms. There is a 1.25 mile fitness trail and two great size playgrounds. Plantation Heritage Park has a huge lake where visitors can enjoy paddle boating. Catch and Release fishing is allowed too. Seminole Park that has wonderful picnic facilities that include a double pavilion with a large barbeque grill and picnic tables. There is a terrific half mile jogging course with twenty exercise stations along the path and restroom facilities. There is also 2 lighted tennis courts, sand volleyball, and colorful playground equipment are available. Residents with dogs will be super happy to have Happy Tails Dog Park close by that Encompasses 5 acres of land. This park is home to the Plantation Canine Unit and features three distinct activity areas: a leash free run and fun area for large dogs, an exercise area ideal for agility training, and an area for smaller dogs.
