I took my guitar for repairs,
It looks like my Spanish "rasqueado"is a little too harsh for my guitar
I detected a very small crack in the body, and I found Lucky Pick online
They offer complete services for guitar repairs, including diagnostics, redressing, buffing frets, tighten hardware. rod adjustment, fret repairs, custom fabrications, restorations, electronics...etc, etc
Upon inspection, they simply told me to come back in a few weeks. since my guitar was not ready to be fixed right now.
I was confused...
They explained that fixing it right now will be not advisable because the guitar needs moisture to settle down first.
It turns out that my guitar needs a humidifier to help the wood be more flexible.
They could take my money and fix it now but, I will still have a problem.
They wanted me to moisturise my guitar first before they can do the repair job..
I loved their honesty and candor..
It looks like they love my guitar as much as I do
They were recommending me the course of action..
That benefits me and my guitar...not their pocketbook!
They did not charge me anything and I just left with instructions how to prepare my guitar for repairs.
This is the type of services I would recommend to anyone that is looking to fix a guitar in the Washington DC Metro Area...
