Such a very cool thing to do and I am sure people are able to have a large variety of reading!

I am noticing more and more of those little libraries showing up in the Greater Sacramento region.  Once we read a book, we rarely pick it up again.  This is a good way to pass on the good reads!

Hi Dorie - Kudos to Cathleen Galley. This wonderful idea is catching on all over, and we're starting to see them pop up in a lot of our neighborhoods.

Dorie, this is one of the best ways to give back in my opinion! Being an avid book reader it is powerful to give others the chance to enjoy a treasure that you have consumed. I happen to like the feel of a book in my hands, not being a fan of Kindle. At our community lodge at Fishhawk Lake we have a small area filled with books and magazines to take, and we also have games that you can sign out for and bring back when you are done. A lost type of gifting, I'd say! Glad that Cathleen keeps this alive!

Free libraries is a great way to give back to the community. Good for Catherine for setting this up for the people in Austin. With so many college students they will appreciate it as will seniors.

Good morning Dorie.  We have a form of that here.  People put in non-perishable food items.  People in need take them and when they can replenish it.  So far its going fine
