I went on the Tucson Area Realtor Tour a few weeks back, and one of the agents presenting a listing had a very cute monologue, and one so many of us can identify with.
She said something along the lines of, "Do you know when you have one of those clients wanting to list their home and ask what needs to be done, and you say...well it could use fresh paint...and they paint it?
You mention the carpet is really worn, and they replace it?
You notice the backyard needs some landscaping help and they re-do it?
Then she said, "Yeah, neither do I".
We laughed, because we know it's not always possible for clients to update or repair a home in order to sell it...and hopefully they price it accordingly.
This ties into a current listing that I have along with Betty Covey of the Golden Girls of Long Realty. Our listing is located in Continental Reserve, part of Continental Ranch in the Tucson/Marana area of NW Tucson along I-10. You can see the photos and more details here: 3 bedroom home for sale in Continental Reserve
This client DID do absolutely everything to get their home ready for market. First of all, the love they have for their home is apparent in their everyday life. It was immaculate the first time we visited. Since then, they have spot cleaned and painted, moved furniture to its new location, prettied up the yard, moved flowers, made sure everything was in good repair...it's just gorgeous.
So, we're waiting for an offer. Do you have a client that would like an energy efficient home, with a low, low monthly solar lease payment? Add in extended backyard patio space with fans, and no neighbors directly behind? How about all ceramic tile in main traffic areas, a water softener, fully landscaped backyard with pavers, staggered cabinetry in the kitchen...
Yes, this home is worth a second look. Call for an appointment to view today.
