Allan grew up in Cody, Wyoming (population 9,500) where most people would assume there is little opportunity. Like many Wyomingites, Allan had a more positive attitude.
He got a summer job delivering pizza, hoping to save up money for college. After all, success in America depends on a college degree and working for someone else, right? That's what I was told growing up, and apparently Allan was sold the same line. He learned the store owner intended to franchise and open a store in Montana, so he convinced his boss to promote him to management. His bold approach worked and he moved to Montana to start managing the new store. Within five years he purchased his own store in Cody. Three years later he owned seven. Today, Allan owns 30 stores and shows no signs of slowing!
Allan Erwin is an example of the opportunities available in our great country, even in small towns like Cody, Wyoming.
