I know that I shouldn’t complain. I received three purchase agreements in the last two days on three different properties that I have listed.

Trouble is, I’m taking a short vacation to go to Chicago to see my kids this weekend. I figure it’s Mom’s Day and the fishing opener here in Minnesota, so should be smooth sailing, right? NOT!

Not to mention,..Read the rest of this entry...

Yep, the best way to make money is to go on vacation! It never fails.

That's the story of my life. When I work from home, I have better chances of getting deals, when I go to work, it seems like nobody knows my cell phone number or my work phone number! HAHA!

I thought I was alone in this...I own several businesses, and it just somehow seems that when I want time off, or need to do something else very important, the phone starts ringing.  If I want to be busy on Friday, all I have to do is plan to take the day for myself to just enjoy...yep, guaranteed to busy all day long.  Who is in charge of making these schedues?

My Colleague said at the beginning of the year that she had a new business plan......Take a vacation every month!   That's when all the action takes place!

That's how it works for me.

No calls or emails for a couple of weeks.

Put a reservation in for a place to stay or buy airline tickets.  Anything that requires planning AND commitment.

VOILA!!  Phone immediately starts ringing.  Emails come in telling me they plan on being in town that very day, week, etc.

Works like a charm!

Ditto here... heck, I don't even have to go away... if I have theater tickets or a hot date (the latter does not happen often) you can bet the phone will start ringing, multiple offers on my listings will start pouring in or 5 people are calling and need to list their house that day (and if I can't be there to do they will just call someone else).

Oh well... I suppose there are worse problems to have! :)
