I recently posted a blog regarding all the fruit trees that I recently planted. Well I am very happy to report that my mango trees are rocking it! My Kiett mango tree currently has over 100 baby mangos growing on it! Realistically, if we have any big storms, I could lose some of them, so I am hoping for smooth sailing going forward! The Kent has a ton of blooms and Carrie got beat up pretty bad in a wind storm a couple of weeks ago and lost a bunch of blooms, but it is putting out a second bloom right now.
Heres an update on the rest of the trees:
I've gotten ONE Barbados Cherry off of that tree, but there are a bunch of blooms so I think that it should produce well.
The avocado trees are blooming like crazy so I am hopefully for a good crop this year. The Winter Mexican has grown probably a good 2 feet in the last couple of months! The Hass is filling out nicely.
I presently have 7 baby Ruby Red Grapefruit on that tree that are still very tiny. But things are looking good and I am hoping that more of the flowers turn into fruit.
The fruit cocktail tree has a ton of blooms on it, but at this point I can't tell if I am seeing lemons or limes.
My Mauritius Lychee tree is showing a lot of new growth which is good because Hurricane Matthew kicked the poor things butt after only being planted for 4 days when the hurricane came through last October. But I'm not holding my breath for fruit this year. I just want it to recover from the trauma.
My banana trees are also starting to multiply which was a surprise to me as I didn't think that would happen until after they produced fruit, but I'm not complaining!
