The BEST thing about living in/around/near Richmond, VA is that it is so very self-sufficient. Very little of the huge ups and downs have we seen here...while the Nation was struggling, Richmond real estate was UP 3%. While forclosures abounded elswhere, Richmond stayed strong!
We're relatively insulated from the huge ups and downs of NOVA, and the myriad "bubble" areas....
www.Richmond.com has the answers for you....industry, schools,various business opportunities, education, manufacturing, new contruction (we still sell it here...) urban growth (NOT sprawl...)!
It's truly an amazing model to see, given the plight of some areas of the Nation.....
Sure will be glad when this dang election is over....we as a People are attention deficit, and can't focus on more than one thing at a time!!! Okay, maybe two.....
