The year has just started. While many were done with their family reunions and other gatherings, many of us will have to embark in this socialization. And if you are a lucky host, you might fear that after all the gatherings, merry-making and reminiscing - your house can be disaster-stricken with trash and disorder inside out. The rest of the paragraphs will let you know some of the most commo but ofternly forgotten tips that will help you revert back to the clean and orderly state of your house.

What's to soil for the food?

Reunions are not complete without feasting on mouth-watering foods and fine wine. But after indulging in such dishes and beverages, the homeowner is left with the task of cleaning the plates, glasses, and other utensils used. If you are that patient with cleaning, then you can use all those pieces that you have been keeping on your kitchen cabinets. Otherwise, you can use the disposable types which you can easily put on a trash bag afterwards.

Where to keep left-over foods?

Left-over foods can be used for you to eat the next day. But how will you keep them in an orderly manner inside your fridge? The secret lies on the use of stackable containers which you can put on top of one another. Be sure that what you will use is airtight so as not to spoil them.

How to keep the trash away?

During the gathering, there are unavoidable items that will be used by your guests. Sometimes, the tendency is to just throw them away in an instance. These things include candy wrappers, tissues and napkins, canisters, cups, and cigarette butts. If you want to reduce the amount of trash after, then remind each and everyone to use the trash cans and trash bags. You have to make sure that they know the locations of the waste bins.

How to protect your appliances and furniture?

As much as you want to showcase what you've got over the years, you must also ensure that your furniture and appliances are protected against accidental damages. If you have precious pieces such as your electronic appliances, you might have to keep them locked in your room. Or if you are confident that they won't be damaged at all, then keep them prominent but make sure they won't be reached by children. For furniture, you can protect them with slip covers.

The New Year and some few days after it are generally used by many families, friends, and old classmates to get together and reminisce old days. But we must also remember that get-togethers may come months after the first month of the year, so it is always better to be in-the-know of what you've got to do. While you are one with them in creating new moments, you should be prepared to keep your house clean before and after the gathering.
