Atlanta's Home Inspector shares a little laughter along with inspiration.

I've seen this before and loved it only because of the life lesson that it teaches.  So many times when stuff happens we get so discouraged that we just want to lie down and take what ever is coming our way.  This is a great reminded to not do that. To take what is handed to you in life and use it to the best of your ability.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;

it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
 quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
 happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone.. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

Live simply and appreciate what you have.

   Give more.

Expect less

David,  tremendous story.  With the dirt that is shoveled our way, all we have to do is shake it off and make put it under our feet and keep on stepping up.  Here's to a great day.

I wish some AR members would get that into thier heads, instead of posting rants on other members stupidity......(I am NOT talking about plagiarism either)....

Honestly I did that for a while...then i got it into my head to just walk away from it.....

It seems others should follow suit..... it would go better for them in the end...

I totally agree with Harb.  Having the choice to make lemonade out of life's lemons is somethig I learned a long time ago.  Way to go with such a good visual regarding life.  I bet the donkey and to rest of the people were smiling as they moved ahead.  Which reminds me:  Smile it will change things.

It was poetic that the teller used a donkey as the subject, some times when you feel like an ass you have to rise about the back fill, shake it off and move forward.. good thought for the day
