The time has come to change the clocks and get ready for the longer days of spring. It's called the spring Equinox, and it represents the time of year when the day has the same amount of light and dark, due to the rotation of the earth and it's turn around the sun.
What this means is for many people that wake up on Sunday morning they will be upset when they realize they didn't move their clocks and are late for all the plans they had that day. Not to mention the disruption when they walk into church and all eyes turn to them starting from the pulpit.
It is also a god opportunity to make sure all the batteries in smoke detectors and here in Connecticut Carbon monoxide detectors are changed .
For people with systems on timers like outdoor lights or like myself regenerating system for water purifiers, those timers need to be checked ad adjusted for the time change.
The time change is official around 2 AM, but don't wait and change them forward before you go to bed.
One of the nice benefits of the time change is the extra daylight in the afternoon which will really be appreciated as the weather gets more spring-like.
