This Mornings Upgrades.........the Good and the Bad

We did a release to the site early this morning and it looks like there are a few bugs. (I'm a get the bad out of the way first kind of person) We have had people report that they can not upload pictures......the spell check still isn't working (this was suppose to be fixed in the release), one person lost the icon bar on their blog post page and in their comments.

We are aware of these issues. If you have seen other issues, can you let us know. Please include what browser you are using along with the version of that browser. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to have this addresses shortly.

The good news is, we made some serious improvements to the database and you should be able to find these new bugs with much greater speed :-)

Seriously, you should see better site performance and it will only get better over the next few weeks. We have a really solid programming team in place and we'll introduce you to the new guys once they get settled in a little :-)

EDITED:

The picture upload issue can be resolved if you clear your cache

Bob,

I'm using Internet Explorer with Windows XP PRO...Comments I've made haven't registered on 'points summary' page...I'm getting no notification of messages or commenters on 'my home' page...and I too wasn't able to upload pics into my post!!! So far that's all I've noticed! Thanks,   Fran

Great news! We reported to the tech dept. back on April 19th that the spell check was not working for us.

05/09/2008 11:32 AM by Patty & Scott Carroll - RE/MAX, Vancouver WA (RE/MAX Equity Group)

Hi.  I'm using a Mac and Firefox as my browser.   Comments that people are making on my posts are not showing up in my comments summary, and the comments I've posted are not registering anywhere.  And no points!  Yikes!  You know what a points junkie I am!

05/09/2008 11:38 AM by Patricia Kennedy (Evers & Company)

I've only noticed the spell check issue.  Thanks for keeping us all updated!

05/09/2008 11:42 AM by Jim & Maria Hart ~ Charleston, SC Real Estate (Agent Owned Realty)

Comments have been wok=nky for me, too.  My name didn't show (and I was logged it), I tried to edit to get my name to show, and the whole comment went bye-bye.  And none of them are showing up on my Home.  And, yeah, no comment points.  :-)

05/09/2008 11:46 AM by Cheryl Johnson, Bob Taylor Properties, Inc., Los Angeles, CA

I noticed that the points summary isn't updating and the home page isn't listing any comments that are being posted/have been posted.  Hadn't noticed anything else but will let you know.sw

05/09/2008 11:51 AM by James Jeter - Credit Repair Specialist (Coast to Coast Credit Services)

I just noticed that the comments aren't showing up for us, either.  They post to the blog, but don't show up in our summary.

05/09/2008 11:53 AM by Jim & Maria Hart ~ Charleston, SC Real Estate (Agent Owned Realty)

Ok here is my results:

1) quick post saved in draft

2) photos of Nashville, not going in

3) Vista IE, latest

4) no points for comments going in.

But, when it is fixed that new advanced feature on photos looks great.

05/09/2008 11:54 AM by Missy Caulk Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams Ann Arbor, Michigan)

I can not upload photos.  I've tried several times this afternoon but it just won't take.

05/09/2008 11:56 AM by Bill Somerset, Realtor, Your Dover NH Real estate agent (Century21 Central Falls Realty)

Well...

First of all I must finish laughing about finding the bugs with greater speed. Gosh...You just gotta love that humor around here :)

Anyway...The only thing I have seen thusfar are the double spacing in the comments. I also have my address next to my name. That's not supposed to be there. Right?

If I spot anything else I'll come back.

FYI: I'm on the most recent version of Firefox. Just so you know I can't log into my account on IE 7 and haven't been able to since December. I'm not bitching...I am happy with Firefox. We all know IE sucks anyway :)

I am using IE7 and am not seeing points posted for comments made nor is the record of those comments being posted to my home page.  Thanks!  I'm sure the benefits of the upgrade are worth the minor inconveniences!

Along with the pictures that can't be uploaded, the comments are not posting to my home and points summary. I'm using IE7, if that is any help. Thanks in advance for fixing the bugs.

05/09/2008 12:51 PM by Petra Norris, Broker, REALTOR®, Lakeland, FL (CDV TransAtlantic, Inc.)

If you don't see the term 'Sardi' in the 'by' in this comment....my name is still not showing up when I make a comment.  Come to think of it, that may not be a bad thing.

05/09/2008 12:57 PM by Jason Sardi, Pennsylvania Mortgage Broker (First Choice Equity Group Inc.)

Like others have mentioned, there seems to be a glitch in recognizing comments. On the plus side, I've noticed impressive gains in the site's response time, so keep moving in that direction!

LMAO @ Lenza!!!!

Ditto Patricia Kennedy... I'm on a Mac using Firefox 2.0.0.14 and I have the exact same issues. Plus those missing names in some of the comments. Who are those people??

05/09/2008 02:28 PM by Portland Oregon Real Estate Broker * Jennifer Bukaty * (Bridgetown Realty, Inc.)

I cleared the cache but still can't put in a picture.  I'm using IE7.  It briefly flashes "done but with errors on the page" then just shows "done" but there is no picture.

My comments keep disappearing, too.  But, Here I go trying again.  And yes, my signature changed, too, but I think I managed to change it back. Except I can't tell for sure if the comments don't hang around.  :-)

05/09/2008 02:40 PM by Cheryl Johnson, Bob Taylor Properties, Inc., Los Angeles, CA

I was going to ask Lenza to lend me some of his winnings, then I saw Tutas Towne Realty's Bryant's comment and that won't be necessary:-)

Thanks Guys!  I thought the spell checker issue was on my computer...I am sure you will find the pesty little critters and eradicate them soon!  We all appreciate everything you do for us to make this experience such an enjoyable one.  THANK YOU

I have had problems with Spellchecker, points and comments not showing up and I recently posted a blog and when I checked the points if said less than 50 words which is not right. Also I can't upload images.

Sorry for the headache and love AR.

I have used Firefox and IE today.

05/09/2008 03:29 PM by Alison Scott (Power Realty Partners)

Okay, I cleaned the cache, and still no photo upload.  However, the paragraph indent tool worked properly - and held when published.  That's a gain.

I was using IE7 with Windows XP Home, SP2.

I hope these can be posted retroactively to the points summary page.  I don't want to have to do them all over again...

05/09/2008 03:55 PM by Bryant Tutas-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc

I am having the same issue with the comments as most others above.  I wrote a few comments on other blogs before realizing that they were not registering at all, either on my home page or in my points summary.  Also, comments from others on my post from earlier are not showing up.  The only thing that is new on the "My Home" page is group emails and a comment that I made as a response on my own post.

I am using IE 7.0.

I was excited to see what Lisa wrote about the HTML/WYSIWIG tabs.  Good move!

OK fellas - I've cleared my cache, and my cash, and still no pics will upload for me.

Ah Sara - 'I should have been born blonde'???  Wait a sec there, I was born blonde and I ain't no dummy.....  maybe you mean you should have been born a redhead or some brunette or sumpin like that.  And no, gray doesn't count as being close to being blonde....  nope, not at all!!   ;-)

Peter Nikic - it looks like your zipper might be down in your profile pic.  That's what some others were saying when I was out in the hallway just a bit ago.
