Winning Starts with Beginning

Robert Schuller once said, “Winning starts with beginning.”  At the time I first heard it, I thought it was kind of catchy, and as time went on, it began to make more sense to me.  I now understand that unless I am willing to do something, I can never be good at it.  I also recognize that since winning starts with beginning, it’s going to take that first leap of faith to get me on the road to achieving what I want to achieve.

Many people think about real estate.  Some like to look at it, some like to talk about it, and some like to be sure they are a part of it.  I firmly believe that there is always room at the table for people who want a real estate career.  Even as a REALTOR®, I never felt threatened by new agents coming into the business.  I’ve always admired people who walk out their dreams, who practice their passions, and who are willing to take a gamble in life.

Winning starts with beginning, and a career in real estate must start with the basic required education.  In Alabama, the requirement is to take a 60-hr. class and in Florida, it is a 63-hr. class.  Regardless of the state you are in, there is no way you can become a licensed real estate agent without the mandated course.  Fortunately, we offer courses in both Alabama and Florida, and we offer them in a variety of schedules, so you can find the one best suited for your situation and then register on line at the TEAM Hughes website.

Not everyone becomes a successful real estate agent, and students often ask me why that is.  My best answer is because many students get their license and have no idea how to make that license work for them.  They don’t understand the true meaning of winning starts with beginning because they think all they need to do is to take the course and get the license.

Winning starts with beginning and the beginning of a real estate career is beyond getting the license.  Getting the license is the first step, but then, it’s all up to you.  Place your license with a real estate broker who offers training and get as much training as possible.  Begin to market yourself to everyone you know.  Send out emails, postcards, notes, texts, and let everyone know you have a real estate license.  Create a Facebook business page for your real estate career, and come up with a winning website.

In real estate winning starts with beginning that goes beyond getting the license, then getting basic training and marketing yourself.  You need to put yourself out there, you need to lead generate, and all these tools for success come to you through your broker.  Take advantage of every tool your broker offers you and don’t be reluctant to invest in yourself.

Winning starts with beginning, and TEAM Hughes can kick your career into high gear with a proven Fast Track class that students rave about.  Contact us for more information so you can take that first step in your new career.
