Sacramento County Listing and Sales Statistics for February 2017

Sacramento County experienced a -18.4% decrease in number of homes listed FOR SALE in February 2017 vs. the same month a year ago.

For the same period there was a -10.2% decrease in homes SOLD, and Pending Sales decreased -9.5%. 

Interest rates remain reasonably low.  For those able to find suitable homes, it's a GREAT time to buy.

Well, the Fed quarter-point bump in interest is affecting buyers in Sacramento right now, although inventory still remains low. Two days ago the number of single family homes for sale in Sacramento County was 1,347, with 1,451 pending sales. That's so tight it squeaks. I've been pleading with sellers to please please get those homes on the market NOW, but they all need so much prep, and the timing isn't right for everybody. Buyers are STARVING for homes to buy.

Hope things are going better for you on your end of town, Myrl. Where I sit, it's absolutely crazy.
