Spring has finally arrived!  This is the time of year when everyone gets excited about warmer days ahead and the prospect of blooms and green.

The flowering crab apple tree in my front yard is finally getting some green leaves after a long winter's nap.  Soon it will be filled with delicate white flowers and big green leaves.

If you are considering planting more trees at your house, you might want to consider purchasing your trees at the City of Aurora Arbor Day Sale.

On Saturday, April 22nd at 10am - you can buy up to three trees at the Aurora Central Facility - 13646 E Ellsworth Ave - Aurora CO 80012

They are also offering FREE mulch on a first come first served basis.

Trees Available in 15 gallon containers:

Norwegian Sunset Maple $100

Chinkapin Oak $100

Tatarian Maple 'Hot Wings" $100

Summer Charm Lilac $100

'Baby Blue' Blue Spruce $60

Happy Spring Belinda. I love crab apple tree blossoms. I just wish they would stay around for a little longer.

So pretty. Thanks for sharing it with us. There are fruit tree blossoms on the west side of Clark County starting to appear. However, we live on the colder east side - no blossoms here yet. :(

Hi Belinda - I'm starting to believe that spring may actually be here, in spite of all of the hard lessons I've learned in years past about being overly optimistic. Maybe this year it's true.

How nice that the town supports spring planing of trees.  Do they give guidance on where to plant them to be free of the wires in the road as well?

Happy first day of spring! We still have a bit of snow on the ground but it's great to see that things are blooming somewhere!

Hi Belinda -- what a great opportunity in Aurora to add some green in your yard without spending a lot of the green $tuff.

Good morning Belinda,

I am excited that we have finally hit the spring season.  I'm looking forward to the warmer temperatures.  Thanks for sharing this information.  It's good that the City of Aurora is offering the sale of trees and mulch to its residents.
