Floridians are paying less taxes then 39 other U.S. states.
As the federal tax deadline quickly approaches, WalletHub recently took a survey on taxes paid across the nation. According to the Tax Payer Survey for 2017 and their yearly tax rates by states showed that Floridians' are not facing as bad of tax burden as some may think. The survey showed that looking at it from state and local governments its actually "fairly reasonable".
In regards to specific taxes;
Real estate taxes, Florida rated number 25 out of 50 states.
Sales and excise taxes, Florida came in at number 8.
Vehicle property tax, Florida ranked at 28.
"Overall, Florida ranked 10th for its effective state and local tax rate, meaning only nine other states charge less".
"According to respondents, 20 percent of Americans would get a tattoo that said "IRS" if it would allow them to avoid paying taxes in the future; 16 percent would move abroad and 10 percent would stop talking for six months if it would relieve them of their lifetime tax burden".
