We think your passions should lead the way. Next Chapter Baltimore is the guerilla guide to the good life in Charm City.

Part 1: The Theater-Goer

The Baltimore theater scene is rich in spirit and busy as ever. Several theaters are located in the Bromo Arts District, which is in on the West side of Downtown Baltimore, blocks from the waterfront. Notable companies include The EverymanThe HippodromeArena Players, and close by are Center Stage (Mount Vernon) and Single Carrot (Remington).

Le Mondo is a soon-to-be realized theater project in the District that consists of a multi building renovation spear-headed by a several artist-owned theaters companies. Upon completion, the project will consist of a community hub, experimental performance complex, black-box theater, dance space, neighborhood bar, and more. The theater companies that comprise Le Mondo are known for producing cutting edge, avant-garde plays. Down the street is Arena Players, the oldest African American community theater with a continuous program in the United States. The scene is sophisticated and diverse, and theater companies like these are what make Baltimore such a unique and creative city. Make the most out of your night. Indulge in an evening in the District and enjoy a modern Italian dinner at Forno, a romantic cosmopolitan restaurant, and catch a play at any one of these outstanding companies. Theater has found a home in the Bromo Arts District.

guerilla’s real estate pick for the Theater-Goer:

Twelve 09 North Charles Street

Twelve 09 North Charles St is a convenient pied-a-terre that’s close by and has great amenities. The building currently has several condos for sale ranging from $287,999 to $335,000. Guerilla sold two condos in the building in 2016, below are some images of the chic interior.

The property was built in 2007 and has only improved with age. There is a Starbucks on the commercial level of the building and you’re a short walk to Baltimore’s Penn Station, which is a lovely ride to New York to catch a Broadway production. Headed to BWI airport? Taking Amtrak or the MARC from Penn Station to BWI is fast and affordable. It’s my favorite way to get to the airport without the hassle of sitting in traffic.

You’re also walking distance to The Lyric Opera House, The Baltimore Symphony OrchestraThe Charles Theater, and The Walters Art Museum. The condos have an open floor layout, 10 foot ceilings, and widows that overlook to the historic neighborhood that afford plenty of natural light to filter in throughout the day. The building also has integrated disability access including electronic doorways and wide hallways.

An alcove in the main room has been transformed into a space well suited for guests or perhaps just a great place for your pet to nap. The Twelve 09 condos are pet friendly. There is even an onsite Pet Valu store in the 1209 N. Charles St commercial spaces.

Twelve 09 N. Charles St has a delightful interior courtyard that all residents are welcome to use. Enjoy the benefits of a patio + lawn space without having to do any maintenance. The courtyard also features an atmospheric gas fireplace (not shown). The elevated courtyard sits on top of the garage, with entrances on the first resident floor. This floor also houses the resident gym. More necessities include deeded parking spaces and storage units.

Twelve 09 has everything a Theater-Goer might need, and is in the midst of Baltimore’s best cultural centers. Ready for your next chapter? Schedule an appointment with Rachel Rabinowitz today.

Rachel, what a great unit and so close to the theater!   I just listed a condo in the theater district too, and should do this same type of post.
