The Biggest Regrets of Real-Life Home Sellers

Not fully preparing the place--focus on making cosmetic changes, planning ahead or getting real about what had to be done or it might cost you precious time and money.

Making the property too perfect--the buyer might be a person who just wants to live in that neighborhood.

Staying in contact after the sale--Always do your best to keep things just business.

Trying to sell without an agent--The price may not be accepted by the buyer’s Realtors®, who may questioned your price point.

Caving to a buyer’s whims--The buyer can be difficult and want you, the seller, to give on many items.

Jumping at the first offer-- Accepting an offer before it goes on the market.

Skipping the staging--Money that it cost you to own a property longer may be far more than the price it eventually costs to stage it.

Picking a buyer based only on money--Today it is a seller’s market--you may have multiple offers, so think wisely when you sell your home.
