Phoenix is Blooming with Color!

Wow, love the bougainvillea bushes and the intensity of the colors.  Those cactus pears are amazing and just the right "banana" color.  I thought of you in our Noon Yoga Yin class, when were doing the banana stretch pose.

Here is what it looks like.  Yin Yoga is a way to stretch your muscle fascia, and is done supported by bolsters and blocks if needed.  The pose is usually held for 4-5  minutes.  you keep both hips on the ground, then edge your legs to one side and your upper torso to one side.  This stretches the side body.  

What a stunning, beautiful pink! And the cactus is really interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Those are amazing looking flowers and plants, Anna!  It's still too early for those kinds of views here in Sacramento.  But, we are getting there.

Gorgeous striking raspberry color and so many blooms! Yes, I agree the cactus pears look like pineapples. 

Hi Anna Banana - that first one looks like 3 azaleas that grew together.  Great color.

That fuschia colored shrub is gorgeous.  Much more my taste.  Of course, in Virginia, we aren't likely to ever see a cactus live outside.

Hi Anna - That's good news. Mary & her twin Maggi are heading down there tomorrow to meet their half-sister for the first time, and Mary will appreciate the color, since we don't have much here yet.

I was back in town for a few days last week. The blooms were everywhere!
